Lakeside Park Bridge Reveal and Public Information Meeting

Lakeside Park Bridge Reveal and Public Information Meeting

January 19, 2022

The City of Fond du Lac, in partnership with MSA, would like community feedback on the new bridge design. Construction is currently planned for 2023 and will connect Lakeside Park East and Lakeside Park West.

The public involvement meeting will be Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Lakeside Park Pavilion, 71 Promen Drive. The Consultant will present a brief presentation at 5:15 PM. The City looks forward to hearing from the community.

In the photo below, you can see the new information showing the placement of the bridge, the approaches to the bridge and the connections to the existing trails.  You can click on the photo to download a larger version of the photo.

You can also listen to a Greg Stensland interview done with John Papenheim about the bridge by clicking HERE .  Click HERE for an interview with FDL City Public Works Director, Paul DeVries.

It also is home to a marsh ecosystem that is fun to explore via the water or soon from the boardwalks. In 2023, many people will discover all there is to do and see in Lakeside Park West.

There will be a total of 25 food vendors to satisfy your every craving! Bring your appetite! More food vendors means less wait time! Food Trucks will be spread out on both sides of the island to avoid congestion.  You can see the Festival vendor menus by clicking HERE

Picnic tables will be available under all shelters for you to sit down and enjoy your food! However, picnic tables are limited so feel free to bring a blanket or chairs and find a spot under one of the many trees on the island.
